One side of the planter has a replica of a watering can sitting atop a column shaped to look like layers of slate. The included pump sits on the bottom of the trough with its four suction cup feet. This pump pushes water from the reservoir up the included tubing, where it sprinkles from the watering can back into the reservoir. The magnetic drive pump has an adjustable flow lever, enabling you to vary the amount of water spilling from the watering can. Simply assemble the planter, fill it with water, submerge the pump, and plug it in. You will have a working fountain in minutes. For more visual interest, add plants to the flat area next to the fountain, or add water plants to the reservoir. The bright colors of the plants will perfectly contrast the gray and green color of the planter and fountain. The resin construction of the planter and watering can will withstand harsh weather, but the pump must be removed when temperatures near freezing.
