Leave the bench front laying flat with the support blocks facing up locate one of the bench sides and gather two of the M6x70 bolts and tow of the M6 cross dowels. Insert the cross dowels into the cross dowel holes, located in the bench front, with the slotted side of the cross dowel facing up. Using a a standard screw driver position the slot in the cross dowel so it points in the direction of the bench side. Take the bench side and with shorter side facing down and press on to the bench front using the wooden dowel as a guide. Inert the the two bolts in the holes provided and tighten the bolts using the Allen key.

Turn the now connected bench side and bench front over so they are resting on their feet. Gather two more M6x70 bolts and two more M6 cross dowels. Locate the bench back and insert the two dowels attached to the bench back in the dowels holes in bench side and press together. Insert the cross dowels and bolts and tighten. Locate the remaining bench side and attach using four bolts and four cross dowels.
Turn the bench over on its back. Locate the bench seat/lid and position the pre-attached hinges over the hinge pilot holes in the inside of the back and attach using three M2x15 screws pre hinge. To help with positioning the bench lid/seat during installation place the unused bench shelf underneath the lid/seat this will help elevate the lid/seat to a desirable height. Once attached stand the bench back on its feet.
With the bench resting on it's feet raise the lid/seat and insert the bench shelf it will rest on the bottom six wood support blocks forming the bottom of the bench. If the fit is tight using the allen key wrench loosen all the bolts on either the right or left bench side a few turns and it will slip right in. Re-tighten after the bench shelf is in position.
